IRCE 2017: ClearSale to Discuss CNP Fraud and How to Combat it

The Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE), the retail industry’s leading e-commerce conference and tradeshow, runs June 6-9 in Chicago and is a must-attend event for all internet retailers.

This year, ClearSale’s Founder and CEO, Pedro Chiamulera, will join other industry leaders to discuss the latest online commerce trends and retail strategies for preventing fraud.

As e-commerce evolves, online fraud is becoming increasingly complex. So, it’s imperative that retailers have a solid understanding of how they can combat credit card fraud and increase revenue — and IRCE is just the place to get this information.

Listen to ClearSale’s CEO Discuss the Best Solutions for Reducing Fraud

As more U.S. credit cards are being secured by EMV, offline security is increasing — but so is card-not-present (CNP) fraud. Because retailers are projected to see a 125% spike in online fraud, due in part to the increased adoption of chip cards, they must enhance their payment security and implement more robust fraud protection solutions.

On June 7, join Pedro Chiamulera and two other panelists as they discuss the changing face of credit card fraud and what retailers can do to combat the increase.

During this session, Thad Peterson, Senior Analyst for Aite Group, will first discuss the pressing questions he sees regarding fraud in the e-commerce world, such as:

  • How are consumers worldwide facilitating account takeovers by fraudsters?
  • What issue do merchants and issuers believe is bigger than fraud?
  • What other issues should merchants be concerned about?
  • What needs to change to reduce fraud and false declines?

Pedro and David Liu, the Director of Information Technology and E-Commerce for Azalea Boutique, recognize that effectively managing the increasing complexities of online fraud is more important than ever. In the second part of the discussion, they’ll join Thad to offer suggestions on how to:

  • Manage the fraud complexity of EMV.
  • Evaluate the benefits of not automatically declining orders.
  • Mitigate fraud by improving customer service.
  • Compare fraud prevention solutions to select the best one for your business.
